From How GenZ are the new Gurus!

Back then, we blew into Nintendo cartridges to make them work. Now, kids can easily fix Wi-Fi, edit viral videos, and explain blockchain. While we played in the mud, they created content over avocado toast. It’s clear things have changed, and we could learn a thing or two from today’s tech-savvy generation.

Here are three things seasoned professionals should steal — uh, I mean learn — from the new generation, courtesy of the cartoon:

1. Tech Savviness: Swipe vs. Scribble

The new generation can unlock complex apps and send emojis faster than we can find the “on” button. Back in the day, our biggest technological feat was fixing the TV antenna with a coat hanger. Now, if your PowerPoint crashes mid-presentation, maybe it’s time to call in a 10-year-old.

“While we write long emails starting with ‘Dear Sir/Madam,’ they respond with an Emoji that solves everything. Efficiency!”

2. Adaptability: From Mud to Memes

Our playtime involved eating mud or arguing over who got the best stick as kids. Today, the younger crowd adapts to trends faster than we can spell TikTok. They learn skills like editing videos and trading crypto while we’re still figuring out Zoom filters.

“When we learned how to type, it was an achievement. Now, kids type faster than we can read, and somehow, ‘LOL’ counts as full communication!”

3. Work-Life Balance: Fun is Productivity

Kids today can focus on playing a game, uploading to social media, and doing homework simultaneously. They’ve mastered finding fun in everything, while we drag ourselves through 9-to-5 with the energy of a sloth on decaf. Of course, multi-tasking has its challenges but is not worth knowing its boundaries and making it work for us?

While we schedule vacation days to ‘disconnect,’ they’re enjoying being productive by streaming their gaming sessions. Who’s the real pro here?”

In short, it’s time for us to trade some of our “back in my day” stories for speed, fun, and adaptability lessons. And hey, if nothing else, we can still win the “mud-eating championship” — pun intended.
